In Thailand they have these every night. In Pattaya there are 2 that I frequented and one of them is listed on my Google guide. They simply call them night markets. For bars on the strip they call them walking streets. Pattaya has a number of them also

for me the best part of a balut is the broth followed by the yolk so i wouldn't want to lose any of the liquid

Liloy is a nice little town. Some beautiful beaches nearby. My wife lives just south of there in San Jose. We actually did our marriage counselling a year ago in the municipal buildings you passed!
